ANDREW ROMANS
Andrew Romans is a general partner and co-founder of Rubicon Venture Capital, an early stage venture capital firm that invests in startups from offices in San Francisco and New York, but invests in startups globally. Rubicon combines a venture capital fund with a unique global community of value added angel, corporate and institutional investors to build lasting technology companies. Romans is the author of published book The Entrepreneurial Bible to Venture Capital, Inside Secrets from the Leaders in the Startup Game (McGraw Hill August 2013, Machinery Industry Press 2015 [Chinese] & Alpina 2015 [Russian]).
Romans previously founded The Founders Club, an innovative equity exchange fund and secondary VC fund. Founder & President of The Global TeleExchange (The GTX), a $50m VC-backed telecom VoIP venture. Managing Partner Georgetown Venture Partners, venture capital & M&A corporate finance boutique. He built sales organizations in Europe from scratch for Sentito Networks (sold to Verso) and Motive Communications (IPO NASDAQ). Romans is a frequent venture capital guest speaker on TV shows including CNBC and MSNBC. Romans lived in Europe for 15 years working in the venture capital, software & telecom ecosystem and is fluent in English, German & French and conversant in Slovak. BA UVM, (exchange student Duke University, FU Berlin), MBA in Finance from Georgetown University completed on scholarship.
